Lord Howe Island, Australia, 2005.
This isn't a great shot but thought that I'd add it anyway since it was the best I could do. It was taken hand-held and using my old telescopic lens which isn't made to be used with a digital camera. So it has an extremely narrow depth of field, which is why the adult is slightly out of focus. It's an adult Sooty Tern with chick. These birds are an endangered species and Lord Howe Island is a protected sanctuary for them. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
